Maybelline 14 hr Super stay Lipsticks are a must buy for ladies who want colour on their lips all day long without retouching it again and again. I myself have 3 shades from this range and am planning to pick a couple of more. Today I am going to share my experience of Maybelline Super stay 14Hr lipsticks. As we all already know it was reviewed by number of bloggers but would like to give my opinion on that as well. I bought 3 lipsticks of this range 2 weeks ago n used them a lot with different dresses and thought now got ready to review it so Here I am .Lets come back to review now.

My Thoughts:I bought three colours Non-stop Red, Persistently Pink and Stay with me Coral. Three colours are very pretty shades after all it suited all skin tones and Lasting Power is superb and worn them number of times which can be worn with Indian attires or western dresses. I am really impressed with this product.

Description of Shades

Non-stop Red: It is very gorgeous shade, which is a great matte pink based red.It is such a vibrant n bold shade and very flattering colour. Itbrightens up my complexion and makes my lips looks fuller and makes me look fresh and give me a big smile on my face in short brightens up my mood..The texture is creamy but colour looks matte on lips applied lip balm underneath. It would suit to all skin tones. The lipstick claims to be long-lasting and I can really agree to that claim. It never transfers on cups and does not bleed at all. This is just the right red and does not contain shimmer as well. It doesnot feel sticky as consistency is good.If you are looking for a red lipstick, that stays, does not bleed, does not feather, does not flake, does not dry your lips out and adds all the world’s glamour to your face, look no further! Maybelline Super Stay Lipsticks Stay with me Coral: I think it’ll work for a lot of skin tones. It is beautiful bright pink with coral undertone. It quite looks freshening colour. I totally fell in love with this colour and found it better for Indian skin beauties .It does look a bit sheen/sheer on swatches but on lips it looks matte which makes lips dry or flaky. The texture is quite smooth and buttery can say creamy in texture but turns into matte when applied on lips. Itdoes not sticky but you feel uncomfortable because it dried your lips so better apply any lip balm underneath. One swipe gives offer full opaque coverage and a long lasting wear time. When it does fade it does so evenly and normally wears down to a stain.I personally don’t like it very much I think because of the dryness.

Persistently Pink: It is pretty fuchsia colour which is quite rich, bold and beautiful shade which would suits medium to fair skin tones. It is quite comfortable and lightweight. Staying Power is superb that’s a plus point which does not dry your lips. It gives sheen to your lips which makes your lips attractive and brightens up the face.

Packaging:It is quite simple as it comes in a transparent and white packaging.Brand name is embossed in the middle of silver ring with white colour and bottom part clearly identifies the colour which is quite convenient in case you own more than 1 shade. And colour number and name written down on transparent bullet. I like that it's a transparent tube which makes it easy to figure out the colour of the lipstick inside. It is travel friendly as well!

Pigmentation: It is much pigmented .one swipe provides full coverage and quite comfortable on lips except the dryness part. This lipstick you can wear lighter dark based on your look or time.

Staying Power: Colour stays longer. It did not budge from my lips for around 8 hours after which it faded leaving a tint behind. I don’t have any problem with fragrance but it gives strong fruity smell which fades away within few minutes. I quite impressed with staying power and it’s a plus point as per claim.

Texture: It looks creamy and smooth in texture but when applied on lips it gives semi-matte finish but after 15 20 minutes completely turns into matte lipstick and does get dry and flaky and settles in to the fine lines.so recommend to apply lip balm underneath or exfoliate your lips properly which would defined my lips very well and very flattering as well.It doesn’t feel verycomfortable on the lips as it has a slight tug and stickiness, something common to many long stay lipsticks. However, one cannot wear these without moisturizing and exfoliating the lips as the formula sticks to dry, flaky bits. I wore this for around 8 hours and it did stay on quite well with minimal fading.

Cons of Maybelline Super Stay Lipsticks:

• Can’t be worn without balm underneath as makes your lips drying specially stay with me coral one.
• Tends to settle into lip lines due to matte finish
• Fragrance may bother some people

Final thoughts: I like these lipsticks because of a smooth texture, intense pigmentation .It does not have bad formulation but it’s not the most comfortable either as has a matte finish which sometimes dried your lips. It is better to moisturize/exfoliate your lips before applying these lipsticks. Great choice of those who really love matte lipsticks and this range has some really pretty colors which are quite wearable as well. It does not transfer as well and lasting power is superb so at least everyone should one in their vanity.
