Today I am sharing review of Candy Yum Yum bought 2 weeks ago. My FB friends would know I bought this with MAC Riri Woo, to take advantage of the free delivery when buying two. I really wanted to review early but couldn’t due to fever first and then exam. Hope to get back into my stride soon. 

What MAC Lipsticks claim?

Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street!! This made MAC famous.

My Thoughts: Candy Yum Yum is gorgeous bright neon blue toned pink; one of the attention grabbing n unique shade. The lipstick is part of the permanent range. It applies smoothly and is highly pigmented; only one swipe builds up the colour. The colour is very beautiful and one of the bright shades which can brighten up looks n mood. It would suit medium to fair skin tones. It can be applied lightly for a nice stain of colour. It stays longer at 5 to 6 hours, leaves a nice pink stain behind after heavy meal which keeps my lips looking gorgeous and elegant. It is creamy in texture but gives matte finish but doesnot dried your lips that’s the positive point . And for dry lips I would highly recommend exfoliate your lips before applying as it accentuate chapped lips. The scent is vanilla but tasteless. It doesn’t bleed at all, stays nicely on lips and very smooth as well.

Packaging: Packaging is quite impressive. It comes in black outer case with silver from inside. MAC brand is embossed with silver colour outside the lid and with black colour on inner side of the case. It is very sturdy and travel friendly too. There is no indication of colour from outside which is a big disadvantage and can be time consuming as need to open each and every lipstick to locate the colour. Otherwise packaging is very classy!!!

Pros:

·                     Fragrance is very pleasant

·                     Brightens up the Look

·                     Does not dry out the lips

·                     Superb pigmentation

·                     Glides smoothly on lips

·                     Does not cause any reaction or allergies to skin

·                     Travel friendly

 

Cons:

·        A bit expensive but totally worth the price.

·        Colour indication not shown outside the case

·        It might accentuate chapped lips so exfoliation or lip balms is must before applying

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Final Verdict: This lipstick is just pop and has very heavy purple undertone which can brighten up any look, mood n face. An eye catching shade that glides smoothly on the lips and leaves behind an elegant pink tint while fading. It is one the unique shade which looks good on medium to fair skin tones. The colour pay-off is brilliant, so must try this lipstick.
