LA Splash Mascara Review

Long time ago, I reviewed LA splash glitter eyeliner that didn’t impress me much due to its chunky glitters and a formula that took ages to dry. Therefore, when I got this one, I wasn’t too keen to try.

But as we say first impression shouldn’t be always the last impression, perfectly goes well with this mascara here then.

Those of you, who aren’t aware about this brand. LA Splash is a US drugstore brand, which makes affordable makeup products.

It may cost around $ 5, though I am not sure!! :P

It comes in a rectangular tube with a very long and slender handle which I think helps using the wand in a more controlled manner as compared with the thicker ones.. Right? Yes, no, may be. :D

What I am interested in, is its wand which isn’t like most of the wands that we see around. It’s thinner, if you noticed in the pictures. The diameter of the wand is same as that of the black handle attached by which you can get an idea about how thin the wand is. Bristles are not too bushy but are sharp and are arranged at decent gaps.

Have you realized that when we apply mascara it clumps to certain extend, no matter how expensive it is? I have tried Clinique mascara as well that was around 1300 bucks but used to clump like any other mascara. But this kind of arrangement of the bristles that this LA mascara wand has is just perfect and made me extremely impressed to the extent that I will be keeping it with me even if the mascara finishes off.

 I first used it for my lower lashes as they are smaller and this small wand tends to fit and does a remarkable job for the tiny lower lashes. Look at the picture; you can see the effect is quite evident on my lower lashes.

I was happy using it for my lower lashes until day before yesterday when I used it for my upper lashes too. It combed them so beautifully that each one of them was separate and still coated with the product. They looked longer and very much falsies like. I think its plastic bristles that are made in a thorn like pointed tip easily runs across the lashes that gives them a neater look with no extra product sticking on the lashes. In my eyes pictures below, I have used some other mascara over it due to which you can see a little clumping which was not present when I had used only this mascara.

I loved this wand for the effect it has given.

Talking about its formula, it is decent that we see in our most of the Maybelline or budget mascaras.

I will suggest you to get a wand like this if you can, in any of the available mascaras. This sought if wand really works well in giving clump free lashes.

I am skipping pros and cons here as the rating says it all.

Take- I am highly impressed with its wand which is small and works well. Formula is decent and water proof. I will recommend this mascara but since it is not easily available here. You can look for a similar looking wand and hopefully, it will make a difference for you too!
