Castor
Oil from Aloe Veda and its benefits
Hi
everyone!!
I
will review Aloe veda castor oil today and some of the benefits of castor oil that I have noticed.
I
have never used any other oil except for the almond, coconut or olive oil but
recently, after reading a lot of good things about castor oil and its benefits, I was tempted!
The brand I chose was from Aloe veda which is an Indian herbal
brand and its products can be easily bought from online. If you are wondering where to buy castor oil or which brand to go for then, I would suggest buy either Aloe Veda or Soulflower. Both of them are available online. It
cost 225 rupees for 200 ml which makes it really affordable.
Apart
from this oil they have got so many essential, carrier and massage oils like
avocado, jojoba to name a few.Good
thing about this oil is that it is cold pressed, when we say cold pressed it
means that the oil has been extracted out of the castor seeds by pressure alone and not by
using any other alternate method or chemicals which ensure that it is the purest form.

Castor
oil is very thick in consistency and a little bit goes a long way, it is
thicker than even the mustard oil.
This oil contains
ricinoleic acid which kills infection causing bacteria. Its smell is kind of
a turn off for few but it isn’t that bad smelling. I mean its smell reminds me
of some oil fried chips that goes bad if opened and unused for a long time. My mum said it
smells as if it has gone bad so check its expiry date and when I checked it was
freshly manufactured so, it has a natural tad foul smell which goes away soon!
Castor Oil Benefits from Aloe Veda and Review |
You can use castor oil to massage your body before shower to reveal a healthy and glowing skin, if your skin happens to be very dry and flaky. It is thick and warm therefore, good to use during the winters. It is very hydrating so you can also massage your dry areas like feet, knees etc with this oil before going to bed.
Castor
oil is also used for hair growth
which is why rubbing it on the scalp can help in hairfall and baldness. It thickens the hair strand which is why you can use it for eyelashes as well.

So,these
were the some of the benefits. Now, I will share what I use it
for.
Castor Oil Benefits from Aloe Veda and Review |
Hair
massaging- For the past couple of years, I have faced hairhall though the
softness in my hair is still there. So whenever, I use any hair oil to massage my scalp I noticed a lot more strands will fall out after that. Which is why I only apply oils on my hair
not on the roots to condition.
When I tried this castor oil, the hair fall was noticeably reduced even when I used it to massage my scalp while washing it off the next morning was quite easy even though it is a very thick oil. I thought it
will require a lot of shampoo but it wasn’t the case.
For
eyelashes and brows- I also use it to on my brows and eyelashes while going to
bed. As of now, I haven’t seen any noticeable difference yet but to condition them it
not a bad idea. Remember, if you are using it for the eyelashes then try not to
apply too low as it can lead to hazy/cloudy vision temporarily.
To massage dry areas- I have very rough and dry feet and I use it daily at night
before going to bed and have seen positive results as my feet are much softer now. It can also be used as a nail cuticle oil.
I am not sure weather you
can use this on your face or not, obviously not talking about oily skin but I
think very dry flaky skinned people can take a drop to massage and see how it
fares. Castor oil has a comedogenic rating of 1 which makes it very low to clog
your pores which makes me feel that dry skinned people can use it but I still won't take the risk to recommend it to oily skinned ones without trying.
I will
highly recommend it. It can be used for various purpose and 250 ml is a huge
amount. If not Aloe veda you can try some other brand which sells castor oil
but I like their packaging, which is a square bottle with a stopper and a hole,
makes it a lot more easier to use and travel as it's of plastic.
Rating- 4.5 on 5 (-0.5 for smell that isn't too pleasant)
Take- Castor oil is a multi purpose oil for your skin and hair. You should
try it at least once but do remember it's fragrance is not too pleasant but can be tried
at night though.
Need to try it for the hair and eyelashes :)
