Nyx Round Lipstick Louisiana Review,
swatches and FOTD
Hi everyone!!
I am reviewing Nyx round lipstick
today which is in the shade Louisiana. Nyx has named it’s shade quite
interestingly. They are priced at $4 in US or you
can also get these for some discounts but here they are priced at 395 rupees
which was less earlier but now, most of the online shopping sites that sells Nyx
products in India have hiked their prices recently!
It
comes in a black plastic body with a small tub attached at the bottom to show
you the color, which is good as it is quite helpful but it also takes away the
classiness from the packaging! Though it wont look cheap at all, I think.

Anyways, Louisiana is a cool toned
pink which makes it a perfect bubble gum kind of pink.
It’s a color which will at times
seems as if it suits me perfectly while at times, I feel, it washes me out.
This lipstick can be said amonsgst the creamy glossy lipsticks with a great pigmentation, that gives you an intense pigmentation as soon as you just swipe it once. It looks more pink in the tube but once applied appears a bit lighter and cooler. This is a color that can instantly brighten up your whole look but at the sametime, it can wash out the duskier skin tones or even the medium.

Whenever you swatch a lipcolor on
your wrist even though it’s on the cooler side it will not wash out but once
applied you can see exactly, whether it suits you as per your liking or not.So, hand swatches are not always give you an exact picture!
Texture of these lipsticks is smooth
that makes them glide effortlessly and the finish as I mentioned is glossy.
The
bullet is prone to breakage and after the first brush up with this lipstick,
mine already broke, so if you have these, you better be careful.
Staying power can be said to be
around 4 hours and it leaves no stains behind, with meals in between the
staying power even drops and you will need to reapply it!!

I like these lipsticks and even at
price, it is affordable and quite good. Moving on with the pros and cons:
Pros:
Decent packaging
Affordable
Intense pigmentation
Smooth texture that applies evenly
Decent staying power
Hydrating creamy formula
Cons:
As, it’s an imported product, price
tends to be higher as compared with the original price.
Bullet is prone to breakage
Rating- 4 out of 5
Take- Nyx round lipsticks can be one
of those affordable lipsticks that applies well, has good intensity and smooth
texture. Staying power is decent with a creamy glossy finish.
There are lots of colors to choose
from which makes this range even more promising.

DeleteYou can carry just about any shade Niesha, they all look very pretty on you. I cannot wear such pinks because they make my teeth look pale :) And I agree completely that hand swatches can sometimes be deceptive because the lipstick may look different when applied on the lips. I have read about the breakage problem somewhere else too.

I absolutely love the NYX round lipsticks however I hate the fact they break and melt

DeleteDefinitely agree with all your points! I've got a few myself last time through a spree as its not found here but an importer sells sometimes at booths! They are so creamy and moist and pigmented but they do slip a bit on the lips and the bullets are very soft! So we must becareful. This shade is amazing on you!
