Makeup mistakes that we often make
Why do we use makeup? Of course, to
preset ourselves in a better way, feel good and to look our best!! But at times
we are bound to make mistakes knowingly or unknowingly or may be while we were
in a rush! Let’s see some of the mistakes that
we have made at some point in time or should take extra precaution!
Foundation
Too light or dark foundation can be
a complete no no. I agree, it’s hard to choose a foundation that can exactly match
your skin tone but still we can try and choose a color that is our closest
match. You don’t want to look too ashy
or tanned. Right? This is one such mistake that is very very common, especially
when you have medium skin color.
Blush
Blush can be the simplest way to
give some glow and dimensions to your face. Putting blush only on the apples of
your cheeks will not do anything in your favor, rather that you may end up
looking strange and made up. Try to blend and sweep your blush towards the ears
for a natural flushed look.
Too
much of blush
Not just the badly applied blush
looks weird but using too much can be a faux pas too. To be on a safer side
choose a natural color that goes well with the complexion. If the blush is
highly pigmented, use them light handedly and tap the brush to get rid of the
excess pigment on the brush.
Concealers
After the foundation, this is one
such product that can do exactly opposite of what we have intended to use it
for. Concealer should be 1- 2 shades lighter than the sin tone but way too
light concealers should be avoided. Use color correctors instead!
Reverse
Circles
You have dark circles and in order
to hide them, you have used too light concealer straight away under the eyes
but now, you don’t have dark circles but two half moon shaped lighter patches under
the eyes. Always blend the concealer under the eyes from the edges and gently
blend it outwards and downwards to not make it obvious. Again for heavy dark
circles, concealers alone will not be able to hide them. Use color correctors.
Lipstick
on your lips not the teeth
Lipstick is the most used product,
but aren’t they meant for the lips only. Yes!! At times, it may get smudged on
the teeth unknowingly or while applying or eating! This can be embarrassing. Be
careful and keep a check on it, especially if you are wearing a red lipstick or
any darker lipstick shades.
Do
not avoid the neck
Most of us have this habit of putting
foundation, moisturizers and lotions only on, the face, but our neck too wants
equal attention. So, the next time you apply your foundation, dot in some of
it on the neck as well and blend in.
Next time you are getting ready!! Do
remember these, most of these mistakes can happen not due to ignorance but lack
of time too while we are getting ready or in a rush!!
:D
I lack in almost all steps he he ... :) Helpful article hun <3
ReplyDeletehehe..when in hurry, we can all have . thanks Gowmi! :)
Deleteya. well said. do not avoid the neck. I have seen so many with wrong shades on the face and the neck is not at all touche don. looks terrific. especially if that is what is done on the wedding day.
ReplyDeleteI so agree, this neglecting the neck thing should be avoided, else can look made up. Even while using anti aging or any other creams, there too people miss out on neck.
