Oriflame Studio Artist Foundation Review Olive Beige

Hi All!!
I will review a foundation today that I have been using lately. It’s Oriflame Studio Artist Foundation with SPF 15 Llluma Flair in the shade Olive beige. I have reviewed the oriflame face perfecting primer here.
Claims – “Light-diffusing Illuma Flair™ Complex blurs imperfections, evening out skin tone and giving a natural, yet flawless result wherever you are. Its weightless formula feels wonderful on the skin, and leaves it feeling moisturised, looking luminous and free from shine.”
It comes in 5 different shades:
Porcelain
Fair N@de
Olive Beige
Natural Beige
Tanned Beige
As per the catalog swatches I think Porcelain is the lightest(name says that too) and olive beige is the medium while tanned beige is the darkest.
Price- 589 INR or 30 ml and has shelf life of 36 months

Experience- This Oriflame Studio Artist foundation comes in a tube pack with black lettering and a black cap. I prefer pumps and tubes more as they makes the usage a whole lot easier and hygienic. You have to just squeeze in some product and use.
In anyways, most of the foundations come in these two type of packaging only!
On the outer packaging they have mentioned everything right from the ingredients to price etc. The size of the tube is very similar to that of Lakme CC tube and contains 30 ml of foundation that you can use for 3 years (shelf life).
This studio Artist foundation has a mild fragrance that doesn’t smell artificial or too much to handle but only  a subtle smell that fades away in no time.

This shade Olive beige is a shade that I will say which will match those whose complexion is between are between fair to slightly medium like me.
It doesn’t have any pink undertones thankfully rather some yellowness is seen which makes this foundation look very natural once blended.
It’s consistency is more on a runny side. For the entire face, I need just more than a half pea sized drop. It blends very easily and smoothly on the skin and at first may look lighter as compared to the skin but once I blend the color matches my skin tone/complexion. The best way to use this is your fingers instead of the brush in my opinion.
It gives a sheer coverage and can be slightly built further. Therefore, it will be good for those of you who wish to use it like an everyday foundation without being looking cakey.

Oriflame studio artist foundation gives a dewy finish which makes it a good buy for dry to normal skin and Even though I have combination skin, I like being dewy at times. If you like to be more on the matte side then skip this as it makes your skin a bit shiny which you can of course mattify with compact/ setting powder but after a couple of hours it will be shiny again. As it doesn’t have oil control or matte finish things attached to it! better leave it!!

Since the time I have been using it, I have not face any skin problems on my face due to any of the ingredients in this foundation and also to mention it feels very light on the skin.

Staying power is pretty good as it will not come off melting though isn’t completely waterproof or sweat proof. In case of sweating, you can gently pat a tissue, It will not rub off much but very slightly which is okay for me.
I can wear this foundation during the winters as the dewiness is most welcome at that time for me but not in summers as my combination skin behaves badly as in gets more oily, I may not use it!
I think the 5 shades that they have given out of those the last three will be sufficient to suit majority of the Indian skin tones if not all.

Rating- 3.75 out of 5

Take- Oriflame studio Artist foundation is an affordable and budget buy when it comes to foundations. It’s sheer coverage, light weight, semi waterproof foundation that blends effortlessly and gives a sheen to the skin which makes it suitable for dry to normal skin tones. Oily skin type girls can try it if they like being dewy, if not greasy!
It has not break me out but do check the ingredients list, if you have allergies with any ingredients listed in this foundation.

  23. Very few foundations suit dry skin.. I had to try around 5-6 to find one that suits my skin and does not cause falking :(

    1. I so agree, my cousin has dry skin and most of the foundations does nothing to help the flakiness. so, she has to put loads of moisturizer first. I hope this suits you.
