Makeup is an art and just like an artist needs his/her tools. Makeup requires brushes for effective and flawless application. I will review a 12 piece makeup brush set which Tmart.com has sent me around one a months ago and I have been using it since then.

Price- $15.08 from Tmart.com

Before that, did the case remind you of something? Yes, it is exactly same as that of Sigma’s Cup Brush holder, that is alone for $25. But I am really impressed by this cup holder as in the material that has been wrapped around it is PU only, but the card board out of which it has been made is very sturdy and hard. If you will see the stitch finish and the snap buttons you can figure out, it’s of good quality. For me, this case itself has gained full points. It’s available in 4-5 colors but they will send the colors randomly though!

It makes carrying your brushes easy while traveling, without damaging the bristles.
This set consists of 12 make up brushes. The bigger face makeup brushes have guards over them to keep the bristles protected from damage and dust accumulation. The smaller ones are inside plastic covers. On an average, these brushes are around 5-6 inches tall, not more or less than that.

Face makeup Brushes includes Large powder Brush, Stippling brush, large Angled Contour Brush and Foundation Brush. These four brushes resembles exactly like that of sigma Brushes.

Large powder Brush -This is the softest of all, fluffy but decently dense with a dome shaped top. This can be ideal to apply powder to set your makeup even blush as it isn’t too large. No bristles have shed so far, even if I tried pinching it hard, there were none. It has been washed twice. I didn’t use it that much but it’s good at its job. Just a tip, Make sure to store your brushes upside down while drying them as it will not damage the glue inside the handle to a large extent.

Angled contour Brush- It has cream colored bristles made up of natural hair, I suppose, not sure though. It’s a good brush for contouring your cheekbones or applying blush. I noticed this brush shed a couple of times before and after washing.

Foundation brush- It's made up of synthetic fibers and are very soft. I like this brush a lot as it fares well while I use it to apply my foundation. It has been washed a lot and have not shed.

Stippling Duo Fiber Brush- This is one brush I can say, is no less than the expensive ones since it has a good finish, the duo fibers makes it efficient while stippling foundation on the face. The top white fibres are very soft to put foundation softly while the  botton sturdy bristles further helps the top softer bristles to stipple the foundation quite well.

Eye makeup brushes- There are 8 eye makeup related brushes in this kit.

Mascara wand- Good brush with sturdy spine of the wand and the bristles attached to it.

Angled Brush- Stiff bristles aligned at an angle, perfect to line the eyes or fill in eye brows.

Eyeliner Brush- It is the useless brush because the bristles are scattered and it can not be used for anything! Period.

Small eye shadow brush- Good for packing the eye shadow on the lids. Have shed once. Bristles are not rough. Picks up the product well.

Medium eye shadow brush- same as the smaller one.

Tapered blending brush- This is my favorite eye makeup brush out of this lot. It intensifies the color on the creases but at the same time blends the eye shadow to soften the harsh edges.

Small blending Brush- It is just like a blending brush but in miniature size. Bristles are same as that of the contour brush. I think I can used it to highlight inner corner or to apply eyeshadow underneath the waterline.

Pencil brush- It is a smaller version of a pencil brush. Ideal for smudging the eyeliner or kohl. It can also be used to highlight the inner corners.

Overall, I am impressed with these brushes as at the price, you are getting a sturdy makeup brush round case and 12 brushes out of which most are decent and couple of them very good.

Pros

Round case is sturdy and good finishing with PU wrapped outside

Bristles are soft and picks up the products well.

At $15 case and 12 brushes is a deal

Bigger brushes have guards over them

Tapered blending brush, contour brush and stippling brush are the highlight of this set.

Except for the liner brush every brush is decently good

Powder brush is extremely soft

Tmart.com has free shipping so; you do not have to pay extra though custom duties can be location specific.

Cons

Some of the brushes shed, but not badly as in, a couple of strands.

Eyeliner brush is of no use as the bristles are scattered

Lacks a fluffy blending brush

  

Rating- 3.75 out of 5

Take- This 12 piece brush set is deal at$ 15. Some of the bristles shed like 2-3 but none of them has shed badly. If I compare the price and quality, this set would be cheaper than the individual brushes.
