I am reviewing a lip gloss today that is one of the products from the newly launched Elle 18 makeup collection. It’s their Juicy lip balm.This lip balm was something which is my favorite after the eyeliner. Their eyeliner was a treat at the price by the way.

Price: These Elle 18 juicy lip balms are sold at 110 Rupees, which is okay for a lip balm cum sheer gloss that can give some color to your lips. Shelf life is 24 months.

Availability- These lip balms are available on violetbag.com and in stores though the other products from the new range are still not showing up online.

I liked the outer packaging, it looks good and the actual product is in a tube that has a slanted top to make the application easier.

Coming back to this lip balm. It’s more like a lip balm cum lip gloss and has been launched in 6 exciting shades. I have got Juicy berry here and others shade are:

Juicy Red

Juicy Pink

Juicy Mauve

Juicy Peach

Juicy Beige

Did you notice? Juicy has been prefixed to all the shades, No doubt, it does make lips juicy. I mean hydrated and luscious.

It says it has Jojoba and Olive oil, which is great for dry lips and heals them as well!

Vitamin E provides nourishment and SPF 15 for UV protection.

Apart from these, what makes me like this, is it’s great smell which is exactly same as that of Nyx lip cream that I reviewed or to be more precise, reminds me of choco butter cookies. Great!!

It always feels good when you slather something smelling yummy! Isn’t it !! but try not to lick it.. It won’t taste like that. By the way, good thing is that these are tasteless, I am not a fan of lip products, that have any kind of taste. Bleh!!

Moving on Juicy Berry is a Peachy pink color that looks very pigmented when you squeeze out some from the tube and once applied gives a sheer natural looking color to the lips which makes to good for those of you who avoid lipsticks and only like using lip gloss with some color.

I like how hydrated and moisturized it makes my lips, The formula is not sticky but thick which makes lips soft and smooth. I use it before applying my lipstick as a balm or at times, over the lipstick to add some shine and to help my unforgiving lips.

When it is used alone, it stays for 2 hours as it is a sheer texture when spread which is fine and quite decent but even when the color fades off, the lips will still be soft and it’s balmy effect will last for 4 hours.

If you eat in between then you will have to touch up.

Overall, I think at the price these lip balms cum juicy lip gloss are quite a deal. I want to try Juicy red or Juicy pink now!

As of now, their availability is a drawback as I haven’t seen their new products online yet, though they are available in stores.

Take- Elle 18 juicy lip balm is undoubtedly is a budget buy that can give lip balm and lip gloss benefits, ideal for those, who wants only sheer color on their lips and perfect for those who have dry lips as it can be used before or after applying your lipsticks to add some shine or to moisturize them! I will recommend it.
