I bought this shade when I
went to Birmingham for MAC shopping and had a fabulous time shopping that day
and ended up buying lots of stuff (no surprise!!). Hope u saw my haul and noticed
that I bought MAC Rebel as well. Why I bought this shade? Well, there was a SA
wearing this lipstick with magenta lip pencil underneath, she looked absolutely
stunning so couldn’t resist myself from buying this lipstick and the same
Magenta lip pencil which I will be reviewing very soon.

I have applied this
shade number of times and extremely impressed with this. So, here are my views
on this lavish shade.

Description of Shade: Aha!!! One of the bold shades
I must say, it is a mid-tonal cream plum or deep magenta with purple undertones
to this shade. It is bold enough for evening parties but would look equally great
for office hours if blot with tissue to make it look more subtle and subdued. It
looks dark on tube (some vampy type) but on lips it looks perfect and gorgeous.
I am NW35 and always get
compliments when I wear this shade. The colour is so unique and eye
catching; one of the flattering shades which would look great on all skin tones
even the dusky beauties. It can be worn with both western and Indian attire. It
makes lips look more healthy and plump and gives you a great looking pout!! It
gives sheen or satin finish as per the name.

It is insanely pigmented, only one swipe is needed to give full coverage.
The staying power is really great, stays
longer around 5-6 hours and leaves a pretty tint after fading without looking
patchy or accentuating the lip lines. The texture is creamy; although does
transfers but does not dry the lips and glides smoothly. The fragrance is
vanilla scented but taste free. It is one of the vibrant colours and very
gorgeous; even after eating (heavy meal) or drinking the lipstick looks fresh. May
be Expensive but completely worth the price for its quality. It can be easily
removed using wet wipes. Sometimes I wear MAC lip pencil magenta shade
underneath to increase the lipstick longevity or change the colour, will be reviewing

Packaging: Quite impressive! It comes in
black outer case with silver from inside. MAC brand is endorsed with silver
colour outside the lid and with black colour in the inner side of the case. It
is very sturdy and travel friendly too. There is no indication of colour from
outside which is a big disadvantage and can be time consuming as need to open
each and every lipstick to locate the colour. Otherwise packaging is very
classy!!

Final verdict: I adore MAC lipsticks. Rebel
is a creamy, rich and bold shade. It stays longer at least 5 or 6 hours, leaves
a nice pink/magenta stain behind which keeps my lips looking gorgeous and
elegant for longer. The colour glides smoothly on my lips and contains a slight
sheen. My lips look very much juicier n fuller when I wear this colour and brighten
my look as well. There is no need of lip liner as it looks elegant and gorgeous
on its own but can use it to increase longevity of lipstick. Finish is totally satin;
shows a little shinier on my lips. Definitely give a try!!!

Rebel looks damn hot on you.. You can pull on such a bold Deep Plum shade Teji Di.. That's your shade. I dnt think I can ever carry such colour on me :/
