I will review Rimmel London
Scandaleyes Mascara today. A little detail on Mascara in general before
starting of review: Mascara as a cosmetic is used to enhance eyes; it may
darken, thicken, lengthen and define the eyelashes. Applying two coats of
mascara will give enough definition to lashes to really make a difference. To
apply mascara always allows the first coat to dry before applying the second to
prevent clumping. I think u have had enough of my blah blah blah on mascara, so
back to the review!

My thoughts:I bought this mascara
2 months ago just because I wanted to try one from my favourite brand. It’s
pretty decent and not bad at all in terms of staying power, pigmentation and
formula. I have thin lashes so always prefer big brush mascaras to define my
eyes and give thick volume to the lashes. The lashes play a very important role
as it adds more drama to the eyes .Does it give Scandal eyes? Keep reading to

It comes in a chubby orange and black packaging which looks very classy,
elegant and noticeable in my makeup bag. The brand name engraved with orange
colour on lower part of the body. A white sticker pasted on the orange lid
shows the colour name. The wand is pretty dense and have twist end cap of
orange colour.
The brush is big enough which works nicely on upper lashes and
will lifts your lashes more to enhance your eyes. But does not work very well
on lower lashes as catches the skin very easily .The good thing about brush is
that it picks up the good amount of mascara and can be applied on both the eyes
without reinserting again. The best thing is its waterproof and lasts whole day
on my lashes. The formula I feel is bit thick but does not feel heavy at all on
eyes.
The shade is jet black which gives more definition to your eyes if you
add more coats. It does have soft bristles which work perfectly and helps in
separating the lashes and give decent volume to my thin lashes. It dries very
quickly and does clump as well which is a negative for this mascara. It does
not smudge or flake .On a plus side it is very easy to remove with a cotton pad
and any wet remover wipes. I am quite happy with staying power and
pigmentation. One coat gives nice volume but I always apply two or three coats
to give more strength n thickness to eyes lashes.

It does give volume to my
lashes but when I need more dramatic eyes I always add my W7 Lashtastic
False liquid Lashes Mascara, which I will review soon. By adding this it
gives full volume, even coverage and lashes you have always dreamt of.

Formula is very light
Easily removable
Does not flake, smudge or chip
Classy packaging
Even application
Lashes look natural and do not feel stiff
Will give the decent volume to thick lashes

Cons of Rimmel London
Scandaleyes Mascara:
It does clump (can be fixed using lash comb)
A bit expensive.
A big Brush can create a little mess on lower lash
line, need greater care while applying.

Final Verdict: I know lots of
people do not like the mega brushes which can be a little daunting at first and
can create a mess particularly with the lower lashes. The formula isn't thick
for me and does not feel heavy on eyes. Fragrance is pleasant as well. It
extends my lashes and gives a decent volume. Does clump but can be fixed with
lash comb. It is an amazing product in terms of staying power, pigmentation
.After drying the lashes look natural and do not feel stiff...so do give a
try!!!

One of the few make up products I use is mascara. To prevent the clumping, usually apply an under-base coat, like body shops's clear mascara and I have also tried other brands as well.
ReplyDeleteRimmel used to be popular brand over but slowly the brand disappeared from the market. I try to go for Maybelline and on the higher end of Shu Uemura. That eye make up of yours looks spectacular. Will try out when I have functions to attend.

This one I will skip Tej but your liner and kajal application is very very precise and perfect. Please hel me choose between Maybelline or Lakme eyeconic mascaras. I am going to buy one soon :)
