Tresemme Climate control shampoo and conditioner review

Tresemme Climate control shampoo and conditioner

Hello all!!

I got these Tresemme sample of shampoo and conditioner long ago, but review… ahh.. there are certain things that I got to see every day but will not review them until, they are finished or I am about to throw the empty packs. :D yup you get it right, the product that I will be reviewing has been finished by me yesterday itself and now, I can share genuinely what I liked about them and what they aren’t good at.Ohh I forgot to mention that these were send for the Tresemme Ramp ready hair Contest, where in you have to make some unique and original hairstyle. I took part in it and I know I am not at all good at hairstyles.:P
Alright so let’s move on with the review of these two products from Tresemme. I have chosen their climate control variant this time since I have used  tresemme hair fall shampoo already!

My Experience: They are the climate control variant which claim to prevent or control frizz due to weather. Let’s me begin with the Tresemme shampoo first which comes in a black bottle that is travel friendly and comes with a Press top cap (That’s what they are called right!! Sorry, if I am wrong). The shampoo lathers well and it takes off oil and dirt easily. Decent amount is enough for a wash therefore we don’t have to empty half of the bottle in one go! Smells fine, No strong or irritating smell However, after finishing the entire bottle, I could not figure out any remarkable difference to the frizz as my hair were just the same as they use to be when I was using Dove. Apparently, it was more like a regular, normal shampoo like Dove, pentene nothing extra ordinary even in terms of the frizz control which it claims to prevent!

The conditioner comes in white bottle that makes it easier to recognize! It smells nice and is quite thick. I have been using it for over a month and now, it’s almost finished. It does a decent job in making the hair manageable and smooth but then here I would also like to add something that my hair are naturally silky and smooth with little frizz sometimes, so most of the shampoos and conditioners does the same thing and it would not be fair enough to give the credit to them but my genes. :D just kidding, I mean, It is something that the shampoo may not be responsible for and it may not work on dry hair. But the conditioner did a better job!
Overall, at the price, they are good. I have not faced hair fall or irritation on my scalp so , I can say that they are safe to use too.

Pros of Tresemme shampoo:
  • They are very easily available online, drugstores etc
  • At the price they are a must try (if you would like to ditch your current ones to try some other brand )and very affordable.
  • Packaging is good and travel friendly.
  • As a shampoo and conditioners they did a decent job of cleaning and conditioning respectively.
  • Have not shown any adverse effects thankfully
  • Doesn’t have SLS but Sodium laureth sulphate.
Cons of Tresemme shampoo:
  • May not be able to control frizz on very dry or frizzy hair, but still can be tried once, to see if they work.
Rating: 3.75 out of 5

My take: Tresemme climate control shampoo and conditioner, no doubt does a good job of cleaning and conditioning but claims that they would be able to control frizz, may not be completely true as I could not see much of a difference, they are more like the regular shampoos from other brands or their own hairfall and smooth and shine variant.

  1. Dove did not work for me at all. Instead these fared really good ( except for the frizz-free part). I think these are just good everyday shampoos.

  13. Most frizz control shampoos have mineral oil or silicones added to coat the hair strands, which may work for healthy hair but may not be good for already dry and damaged hair. I agree this is not more than average everyday shampoo. Good to know that it was safe to use.

    1. Thats what it is for me. Just a regular shampoo nothing special. When it can't control my occasional frizz, I doubt how it will fare for dry n damaged hair.
