Homemade body scrub : DIY
Today, I will share a
refreshing and hydrating body scrub that is perfect for the summers.
Exfoliating your body is equally important to remove the dead skin on the rough
body parts, lighten marks or scars etc.
Body scrubs and salts are
easily available in the market but if you wish to go all natural and save some
money then do try this scrub. This body scrub is really
easy to make and can be used twice a week. That’s what I did for a month. To start with, take a carrot
and put it in the juicer or mixer to extract the juice out of it. Take a table
spoonful of honey and half a cup of sugar. Mix these well with half cup of carrot
juice. If you wish, you can also take half lemon and squeeze it in the mixture. The proportion, quantity and the consistency you want to keep depends on your preference though.
Carrot and lemon juice are
not only refreshing and smells good but they are also known to lighten and
improve the skin tone. Honey is natural agent that retains moisture. Sugar helps
in exfoliation. All these makes it a great body treatment at the convenience of
your home.
If the sugar has big chunks
then do soak it in the mixture for at least 5 minutes so that the cubes gets
smaller and are not very abrasive. So, while you use the movements should be really smooth and no rashes.
Take this mixture in the
shower and use as you do use any other body scrub. Once you have scrubbed the
body completely then you may let the mixture there on the body for 10 minutes, so
as to make the carrot and lemon juices work and help lighten the tan or any scars.
You may use your regular body wash, soap bar etc but i skip them when I use this scrub as it leaves your skin squeaky clean.
The good thing about this scrub would be that it does not make any mess or leave any residue that
you have to clean afterwards, everything will drain off.
I have used this twice a
week and it has fetch great results in the texture of the skin on some
problematic areas. I like trying DIY kitchen beauty treatments as they are all
natural and easy to make. I share recipes which I have used at least 3 times
and also do provide proper caution if in case there is any, as I do understand,
not all of us have the same skin type and also some of us can be allergic or sensitive to a
particular ingredients.
Do try it and Hope you like
it !

made beauty recipes and tips.
