Hi girls!!

I have never been much into Avon Lippies (except the Fabulous Carmen Rose) and few others which I never used, until a couple of days ago when I bought three of these Color Bliss Simply pretty ones. Yaayy!!

I had cherry Red which was never used and it died eventually!

So, I am reviewing a beautiful and subtle Rosy shade from Avon Simply pretty lipstick named as True Rose.

Experience: You might know that it’s the new packaging which is colorful and bright.. Looks girly!! I didn’t like the older one which was some deep bluish color! But this new one is decent!

The names of the shades are on a sticker at the bottom of the tube. Packaging doesn’t change with the shades it’s all the same. The manufacturing date along with the expiry date is printed on the side on the lipstick itself which can be helpful in knowing when to throw it away.

Bullet is very sturdy with mild vanilla sought of fragrance to the point that it will not bother anyone even If you are amongst those who don’t appreciate fragrance in their lipsticks.

This color True Rose appears to me more like a Mauvy Pink.. It definitely has the warmth that will look good on fair to medium skin tones and will not wash out the dusky beauties. I am sure it can be a color that you can wear for day time to office or college or casual lunch. It for sure isn’t a color that can make you look older than you are! .:D.

It’s a creamy matte formula that glides well on the lips, won’t accentuate the fine lines by settling in them. Very creamy and moisturizing. While you are using them you may let your lip balms rest! :D

Don’t expect it to be a same intense color in a single stroke.. nope it’s not that.. You will have to build the pigmentation. For the more natural like look as in “My lips but better” swiping it once can do the trick. But if you want a rich opaque color that 2-3 swipe all over the lips would be needed. Yup!! After that it can even cover the lip pigmentation. In short it has a buildable pigmentation.

Whenever I think of lipsticks that leaves stain then the Colorbar Velvet mattes would top the list for most of us! This Avon Simply pretty Lipstick does leave significant stain but very faint.. if you like some stain on your lips once the lip color wears off then these would be to your liking.

Staying power is only 3-4 hours.. which is not bad at that price What do you say?

Honestly, apart from its pigmentation which is thankfully buildable I don’t have any complains with this lipstick!

Pros and cons of Avon Colorbliss Simply pretty lipstick in True Rose

Pros:

• Affordable at that price.. so grab the colors you like!!
• New packaging is no doubt is decent unlike the old one. You will like it unless you dislike such bright colored lipstick packacgings.:D
• Creamy matte texture won’t settle in fine lines and will not need any lip balm before wearing this color.
• It has very mild fragrance which should not be an issue even if you don’t like lipsticks with fragrance.
• Pigmentation is build-able and would be opaque enough to cover the lip pigmentation.
• Staying power is pretty decent for 3-4 hours without meals or may be less once you had something in between.
• True Rose is a beautiful Soft pinky shade with prominent mauvy hints which is not a color that can wash you off and In fact this does make it “suitable for all skin tones” types of shade.
• Manufacturing date and the time till it can be used is printed on the lipstick itself that can help keeping a track and when to discard it!

Cons:

• Available through Avon Representative or eBay India.
• Don’t expect it to give you a single stroke intensity.. but it is build-able!

My take :  You should not miss these Avon Simply pretty lipsticks if you are on a budget or would like to have a lot of different shades without spending a fortune on them. They are definitely for you. Not only the price but the qualities that they have, makes them worth trying. Consider this color if you like such soft, subtle rosy mauve shade!
