Eye makeup Terms and parts of Eyes with Diagram
Hello my
dears!!
This is one
post that I have been thinking of doing since long ago. But every time, I will
post an eye makeup tutorial I will forget about it. Then, some reviews, new
products etc made me completely forget this labeled picture of mine with labeled
parts of eyes in relation with the eye makeup.
I was assuming that most of us know about it but then there are few of us and for them it may be new. So, hope fully it will help them.

Here is the picture:
Eye makeup Terms and parts of Eyes with Diagram |
I have labeled it as per the commonly
used terms related to eye makeup.
Crease or Fold:
This is the part where the fold of your eyes is. This should be a little darker
so as to give a more defined crease.
Inner Lid: Part
of your lid below your crease which is towards the bridge of your nose is
called Inner lid.
Outer Lid: This
is the outer part of the lid below the crease
Inner corner:
This is the inside corner where the tear duct lies and should be highlighted
like the brow bone.
Outer V: This
is the most talked about part especially, if you are doing any smokey eye
makeup look. This part should be the darkest to draw more depth to the whole
look and create a perfect gradient of colors. In the picture, you can see an imaginary
V shape from the crease and the outer corner of your eyes.
Waterline: This part needs no introduction since we all have used kajals or kohl at least
once and this is the place where we apply our kohl.
Here I am attaching a picture that
you can see the gradient and highlighting.
Now, these were the commonly used
terms but when it comes to creativity then there is no thumb rule right!!
So, the parts that I have mentioned as highlighted or darkest, it’s not mandatory.
