Coloressence
Compact powder review and swatches
Hello my friends,
Few days ago, I have posted the Coloressence cosmetics haul
picture and decided to review the compact first as i like its packaging a lot
and tried it first than the rest of the product I have bought. I have just
realized that I have bought way too much Coloressence make up products these
days so, as of now no more products until I review these.
Price- 125INR for 10 gm.
Ingredients- Aloe Vera, clove oil etc as active ingredients but apart from that
nothing else is mentioned on the packaging.
What the company claims- This unique soft textured powder
helps to control the sweat and give a smooth coverage to the skin thereby
hiding the spots & freckles.
Variants- They are available in 4 shades.
Coloressence Compact Powder 1 Ivory
Coloressence Compact Powder 3 Dusky
Coloressence Compact Powder 4 Pink
Coloressence Compact Powder 2 Beige
Packaging- Packaging is nice and looks good. It has
a transparent cap with the name written over it. Check out the pics for
packaging.
My experience- Packaging is good no doubt with separate compartment to put the puff and a big mirror. So, no issues with that I love it.
I got the one in shade Beige and the
product is average though and more over it is not my shade. It looks pale and
chalky on me. I don’t know whether its due to the not so matching shade or the
texture of this compact. Texture is just average. I know I can’t complain with
the price it came. No issues.
It says that it has aloe Vera, clove
oil etc as active ingredients but apart from that nothing else is mentioned on
the packaging.
I applied it and I looked so chalky and mismatched that I had to go and
wash my face immediately and I wasted 10 minute that too in the rush hour when
I was getting ready. I would have used it more and try out but since the shade
doesn’t match so, it’s of no use and now that I have not used it I can’t
comment on the fact whether it will break you out or not.
Overall, I can say that it’s an average product if you find the right
shade. But I will say at the similar price you can go for Lakme Perfect radiance Compact or Lakme radiance compact which are much more better than this. You can click the link to see the full reviews on them and Hope it will help you to make better decision.
Pros
- Packaging is good looks nice and I loved it.
- It is easily available and comes in 4 shades to choose from.
- It is really cheap, so, no issues no complaints.
- It has an inbuilt mirror and a puff.
Cons
- Ingredients list is not mentioned anywhere apart from the active herbal ingredients.
- Texture is a bit less than average so; if you apply more it will look chalky.
- Shade that I have bought does not match my tone. I know it’s not their fault but still ‘beige’ means beige not pale yellowish.
- I guess that they have put more efforts on its packaging not on the actual product though.
My take- It is inexpensive and an average product, so, if you find your right
shade that it can work for you to some extent. But i will still not recommend!
Rating- 2.5 out of 5
