I admit, I am not a lip gloss kind of a person. Nope, I am not!! reason being, I want some color on my lips and most lip glosses are not that pigmented, also they are low on staying power as compared to the lipsticks. But that doesn't mean, I don't try them, I do but while making the final bill I will drop these out! :P But I seriously like those liquid lipsticks with brilliant pigmentation and one swipe opaque finish. For eg: Rimmel Apocalypse and also the one I am going to review in this post. It's MUA Intense kisses lip gloss in the shade stolen kisses. I have heard a lot about as how pigmented these glosses are which actually tempted me to buy it! MUA has three types of lip glosses a plumping lip gloss, sheer and intense glosses.
I have not tried the plumping ones and these Intense kisses glosses are available in 8 beautiful shades with superb pigmentation.
Price- 2 pounds + 7.50 ponds as shipping (better get these during free shipping days) though they are available in Indian websites like Jabong.com for 449 Rupees. MUA is a drugstore brand in UK.
Experience- I got it along with the other Makeup Academy products out of which I have reviwed some already. It is a squarish tube with a wand. Packaging is beautiful to look at and is well finished.
The cap is attached to a slanted wand which is just like the regular wands that we see in the lip glosses, though I wish, it could have been a doe shaped. As the sought of wand it has scoops out a slightly lesser product which is further sqeezed out by the stopper at the mouth of the tube. But, that's okay, isn't a major drawback. It's just when you get lesser quantity, you have to apply again and the color can get a tad patchy! That's it!
The consistency is quite thick and can aptly make it more than a lip gloss or even can be promoted as a liquid lipstick.
The color Stolen kisses. Quite an interesting name by the way!! It's a very deep reddish berry color with very very finely milled golden/silver shimmer. The shimmer is really fine, isn't too obvious and actually gives the color more dimension as in, the lips looks luscious and pouty.
Arm Swatches with and without flash:
It is very very pigmented as I said, in my arm swatches, you can see it's just a single swipe.
Now, as these aren't too liquidy, their staying power is very good, though they are highly transferable which is quite obvious. Once I wipe it off, or it gets wiped off itself, there is a very faint rosy tint left on my lips, that isn't too stibborn to take off.
I am really impressed with this MUA Intense kisses lip gloss range that I would love to give a try to the other shades from the same.
