I will quickly review a gel liner today and it’s from the brand essence. Essence is a Germany based cosmetics & Skin care company.

This is my first product from the brand!You can buy their products from their Facebook page in India and in New Delhi, they have their store in GK M block market.

Price- This essence gel eyeliner is around $4. (Brush is not included)

It comes in a cute glass pot with is bigger than the Maybelline’s gel liner pot and with a black plastic cap instead of the metal one unlike Maybelline.

This shade is called Midnight In Paris, a jet black color. There’s a angled brush as well which comes along with this gel eyeliner.

I really liked the texture of this product as it is very smooth and applies effortlessly on my eyes without any tugging or pulling. I noticed that as compared with Maybelline and other ones, this doesn’t dry too quickly as it has a tad thinner consistency than those.

Pigmentation is decent and to get the intense looking rich color you should apply two coats. It doesn’t mean that the single swipe isn’t good. It is black but to make it a jet black, it’s better to use two.

What I absolutely love about this product is their gel eyeliner angled brush. It is really pointed at the edge that makes a thin and precise line, but this is not what I use it for. I use this brush to fill in my brows and trust me this is the best brush that I have ever used for the brows. Reason being its pointed edge with bristle aligned properly so that it creates a decent shape and fills in with natural looking strokes.

Coming back to the eyeliner, it gets smudge proof within a couple of minutes and stays on my eyes for the entire day but can fade a bit, I mean in the intensity.

Apart from that, it is waterproof and sweat proof and when you rub it occasionally, it will fade but will not transform me into a raccoon.

Now that it is available in India too and at affordable price, I will recommend it.
