Matte lips is what I am current loving and it’s because of this fantastic product, NYX matte lip cream which I will review today. It was one of the Nyx products that I recently got. 

I like Nyx products and they are inexpensive in States but on Indian shopping sites there price is sky high for some of the products and when you order them from international shopping sites then the shipping chages hurt!! But still getting them directly will be a bit more economical if you want to buy a lot of stuff!

This Nyx matte lip cream is priced at 750 INR, you can get it from Nykaa or Medplusbeauty.

I chose this shade called San Paulo. By the way, it’s interesting that they have named these as places name. I wonder if our Desi brand were to name the shades they would be like New Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, Indore, Kolkata etc etc. Jaipur can definitely be pink being the pink city! It will be really intereting rather than the not so unique names like peaches, creams, corals, cherries etc. What do you say?

Now, first impression opf this product was like .. Yummmy!!! Wait!! I didn’t eat it but it smells so good just like a choco butter cookie, therefore I’d to resist hard not to lick it!! as no ways it’s going to taste like that! :/

San Paulo, is a pink which hints of peaches in it but at times on camera it picks up slightest hints of blueness in it!! Though on my lips it looks more like a neony peachy pink. This is a shade which I would say would look different on everyone depending on your actual lip color! I didn't take the picture with flash here so you can see the true color on the hand swatch rather than on my lips as on your lips it can come show up slightly different!

I Like the fact that it extremely creamy that glides on the lips just like a semi molten butter and feels so light on my lips. I think its texture is more like a whipped cream!
Pigmentation is its plus point that single swipe across can paint your lips with its true color though at time it can get patchy while you talk especially the upper lip! but when it dries a bit like after 15-20 minutes it gets matte and will not be patchy as it kind of settles on the lips.

I have used creamy matte lip products and my search for a true matte lip color that should not be over drying happily ends with this Nyx lip cream. You know one thing its matte but still I never feel the urge to use a balm before or after using this but at times say after 4-5 hours I need to reapply this as it wears off and gets a tad dry but color would still be there.

As you can see in the picture, The sponge tip applicator is slanted due to which it is easier to apply it precisely as per the shape of your lips.

I absolutely love this!! Now, I want to try may be Amsterdam or Adis Ababa. Hough the online swatches sucks but still, I think the latter will be a gorgeous hot pink color.

I am going to pair this shade with white blouse as white makes bright color even more brighter. And more thing, after a couple of hours it may get settled into the lines on your lips but I am not sure as I don’t have them. But it’s just an assumption I am making.
Here's a picture, where I applied it freshly due to which it shows some sheen and gets matte which wouldn't reflect light after 10-15 minutes! 

 Anyways, moving to its highs and lows..

Pros:

• Matte lovers will love its matte yet hydrating finish
• Texture is very smooth , light and creamy
• Pigmentation is very good
• Slanted sponge tip applicator makes it very easy to shape your lips and apply it perfectly
• Even after being a matte product, it doesn’t dry out the lips, may be for some of you after a couple of hours and who have extremely dry lips.
• Staying power is decently okay and after the meals you will have to re apply! C’mon we know this.
• Ingredients List is mentioned on the pack itself.

Cons:

• Can be a bit expensive in INR else it is inexpensive in U.S

Apart from that No cons for me!!

Nyx Matte Lip creams are for those of you who want a matte finish lip color that can gives moisture and is light weight, then it's for you!! It has a decent staying power with good pigmentation and of couse the chocho cookie smell, remember!
