Maybelline comes up with great affordable products throughout the year and this time the latest amongst their lipsticks, is the new Maybelline Colorsensational Bold matte lipsticks. As soon as they were launched I was eager to try these and Finally, got one for myself in the shade Mat 5. Yaay!! I am excited! This range is priced at 375 each and have been launched in 5 beautiful and trendy vibrant shades with great matte texture. 

They have honey nectar and the moisturizing agents like rosa canina oil along with jojoba oil. Powder less matte pigments that ensure true vivid shades. This is what Maybelline says.

I got this a couple of days ago and I was so excited to try these that I forgot to get one of their cute newly launched blush  and after coming home I was like..Gosh! I forgot the cute pie! Anyways, let‘s keep the blush aside and put the limelight on this red beauty here.

I must emphasis that I like this packaging a lot. It is almost same as that of the regular colorsensational range but I like these colorful ones more and also the name of the shade is written on the steel part of the lipstick as well which makes it look classy!

I got the shade MAT 5 which is a muted red I would say, means it is a red but not as striking and hot as a true vivid red. Therefore, this color can be perfect for those of you who wish to wear reds but are hesitant. So, you can try this one.

As the name says I was hoping these would be matte but they are more like creamy matte. Formula is very light weight. When I have these on my lips it looks as if I am not wearing anything on my lips which is good!

Pigmentation is just decent. You will need to swipe twice to get the intense color but here I would like to suggest that I think, if you use it just a stroke they appear more like a stain and I like putting it in that manner as well. This color also reminds me of Lakme Enrich satin shade no 356.

Even though these Maybelline lip color is not super matte as per my expectations, but it has great moisturization which will keep your lips soft and moist, you don’t have to use lip balm before this and even when the lipstick fades away , I did feel that my lips were soft, it may be due to the jojoba oil present in it. I am happy this way that most of the lipsticks dry out my lips as  have very dry lips but with this they feel so soft even if the lipcolor has wiped off!!

Staying power is for around 4 hours and can survive snacks and you can reapply then. It fades away leaving a mild and soft tint on the lips.

Even when I am writing this review, its texture comes to mind again and again which I mentioned already how light weight it is!! :D I really want to try Mat 2 or 3 now.

You may have noticed this time they have not named them as per the numbers like MAT 1, MAT 2 upto MAT 5.

Cons Maybelline Bold matte Lipstick:

It is not as matte as it should be which means it’s a creamy matte instead of matte.

Sometimes when it wears off, it can get patchy or while you talk at times.
