MUA (Makeup Academy) palette Poptastic Review and swatches

MUA (Makeup Academy) palette Poptastic Review
Hello All,
Today, I will review MUA (Make Up Academy) eye shadow palette in Poptastic. This palette is exactly the opposite of the MUA Heaven and Earth palette that comprises of some of the gorgeous neutral colors.
Price: £4…You can get this from Muastore.co.uk or from Jabong.com
Ingredients: mentioned below.
About the product: All our beautiful palettes come with 12 complimentary shades so you can pick and choose for a variety of looks. They're a soft, blendable texture that glides on with ease. At just £4, you basically need them all.
My Experience:  This MUA Poptastic palette is one of the very bright and colorful palettes I have seen. It has all the beautiful and bold colors which are perfect for spring and summers. Like the other MUA palettes, this one also has 12 complimentary shades. It has shades of blue pink and yellow.

Some of the colors are shimmery or pearly while few have matte finish.
I like the matte ones more since I already have pearly shades. Pigmentation is really good except for the gold yellow shade and staying powder is pretty decent but still I will prefer to use eye shadows  with primer, which not only enhances their pigmentation but the staying as well.

It comes with a long dual end sponge applicator, which I have not used yet but it is soft enough. It is very light weight and sleek packaging so carrying while you travel is not a problem.
I think these shades are so pretty that they can be even used alone or just apply them underneath the lower lash line with matching or contrasting eyeliner to make your eyes do the talking.
Here are the swatches of this poptastic palette. First row and then the second row. (plz do excuse me for those little hairs.:D)

If you remember day before yesterday, I have done this sultry navy blue smokey look, in this look I used the very last shade which is a pretty shimmery navy blue on the crease of my eyes and underneath I used the other blue shade mixed with some other shade (sorry do not remember which one was that).

Overall, I love this palette, if you like playing with colors then this is for you.:D
Time for pros and cons.
Pros of MUA (Makeup Academy) palette:
  • Good for the price if shipping charges are ignored.
  • Nice sleek travel friendly packaging.
  • Dual sided sponge tip applicator is soft enough, though sorry I have not used it.
  • Very bright and colorful palette with shades of blues, pink and yellows.
  • Good pigmentation
  • Good staying power though I prefer primer before the eye makeup
Cons of MUA (Makeup Academy) palette:
  • Honestly, I could not think of any cons with the palette except for that I wish it could have less blues and some greens should have been there.
  • And yes the shipping charges though you can get it from Jabong.com too.
Rating: 4 out of 5

My take: For the price it is no doubt good but then shipping charges hurt.. if you do not mind the price then do try it.

  11. I recently was given their undress me neutral palette which is so much like the naked palette! I love the quality of their shadows but those shades don't appeal to me too much because I can't think of how to use them! Glad you're liking them!

    1. Thats true Sharlynn, not everyone likes such bold and bright colors and neutral are hot favorites. I like these colors for the EOTDs and also using underneath the lower lash line. That looks pretty to me .:))
Undress has very pretty everyday wear shades!

    1. Sorry To reply late Ishy! I somehow missed these comments.
I know On Jabong they are very pricey. But if you will buy it from their official website then their will be shipping fee of 7 pounds I think then the palette will be more pricier.
