I got it a couple a days ago and it was still under test and now, I am all set to proceed with the review. Please do excuse me for the not so good quality pictures as my regular camera is not with me and the one I have used did not offer good quality pictures.

How to Use: I use it by making little swatches on the high points of my face and then blending it gently.

My Experience: I have tried both Maybelline BB cream and Garnier one earlier and in fact I am still using my Garnier one as a base for foundation sometimes.
This Maybelline Clear Glow Shine-Free B.B Stick comes in twist up like packaging and a transparent cap which is very sturdy, making it compact and travel friendly.  It is around three inches in length with less than an inch in diameter.  Its bottom shows the shade name.
The actual product is 10 gm in quantity with a shelf life of 30 months.
It comes in two shades: Radiance and Fawn.
I have got the shade in radiance and my BB cream shade was also radiance. This shade is meant for fair to medium skin tones. Radiance has no visible yellow undertones.
Fawn is a little darker than radiance, which will suit the skin tones between medium to dusky.
Maybelline BB Stick

When I swatched it for the first time at the back of my wrist, I noticed how the smoothly the stick glides over the area and while trying to blend it in I felt it gives a powdery velvety finish.
It feels like you have nothing on there. Blending this B.B stick foundation is very smooth and easy unlike the Maybelline BB cream, which use to take a lot of efforts while blending else gives a white cast.
It has a very fine formula that does smoothens the skin and gives a matte looking skin with minimized pores as well due to its fine texture.
I really like it for that smooth and light feel this maybelline BB stick gives to my skin, but as it says that it controls shine then I may not agree as I felt my nose shining after a couple of hours which I face with every cream and foundations. That’s fine with me as I dab some compact over the shiny areas to keep the shine away but the claims is not convincing though it is sweat resistant.
This BB stick gives a sheer to medium coverage and conceals minor flaws too. It claims to have SPF 21 with broad spectrum which is good but I still used my Lotus sunscreen gel. For those of you who do not like to use sunscreens, this may do the job to give sun protection.
It is water proof and you will have to remove a makeup remover to get rid of it completely. One thing I would also like to mention that it does has salicyclic acid which makes it a good choice for people with acne prone skin (like me) or suffering from acne.
Maybelline Clear Glow BB Stick

I have used it a couple of times and did not faced any allergic reaction or any breakouts as of now. If anything happens with the continual use of this product I will update. They have provided all the ingredients on the packaging and you can check if there is any ingredient you may be allergic to as per your knowledge.
It also works good as an under eye cover up and over the eyelids as eye shadow base. I did tried once and it did fine.
Overall, I really like this product, BB creams as for those who do not want anything heavy or much coverage and this BB stick gives one more option to those people who are looking for an everyday product that can give them an average coverage and still make them feel as if nothing has been used.
Let’s sum up the pros and cons for Maybelline BB stick in Radiance
Pros of Maybelline BB stick in Radiance:
  • maybelline BB stick is available at Maybelline counters
  • Very affordable price and will not dig a hole in your pocket
  • Sturdy packaging looks good and is travel friendly
  • Ingredients list is mentioned
  • Feels very light on the skin as if nothing is there
  • Diminishes the fine lines and pores
  • Smoothens the skin and does give it a velvety feel
  • Salicyclic acid in it makes it suitable of acne prone skin
  • Safe to use and I have not faced any allergies so far
  • It has SPF 21 as per the claims but does not gives white cast
  • This BB stick does even out the skin and also gives sheer coverage.
  • Conceals minor imperfection
  • Blends very easily and does not take much time
Cons of Maybelline BB stick in Radiance:
  • Maybelline BB stick comes in two shades only that may not suit everyone
  • Oil prone areas are tend to get shiny after a couple of hours (my nose in my case)
Rating: 4 out of 5
Available at Flipkart HERE

My take: Maybelline BB stick is a good product at a good price. Only two shades are given so If you can find the shade that matches your skin tone then definitely go for it. It is better than the Maybelline BB cream that was difficult to blend and gives a white cast but this one blends easily and gives a matte velvety finish.

    2. Ohk!! If you can, how would you compare it with the garnier one?? I mean the garnier one also doesn't have yellow undertones right? so, any similarities with the garnier and the radiance shade?

    3. Right.. Garnier one is is more like a beige color with no peach or yellow undertones. garnier one is high in moisturizer content but this BB stick has a powdery velvet texture.
Both the shade are similar and sheer so even if they are not absolute match then also they can be used .:)

  9. I guess for most of us, a sensible option would be to buy both shades and then mix to get a custom shade. But since they are sheer, the wrong shade doesn't look that bad on the face...well, at least not on me.

    1. Absolutely, as the shades are limited then mixing them can give the desired shade as per the ones skin color.
It so sheer that even if you didnot find the shade to be an exact match then also it does not look obvious.:)

    1. This stick has a very light texture so if you have dry skin then go for BB cream else BB stick is good. Yes, i also do apply a little moisturizer before using this stick or any other foundation.. it makes foundation or stick glides and blend properly.

  24. do you feel this one better than garnier bb niesha??garnier is too greasy for me...even this falls under that category?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think yes, As this makes me less greasy than garnier when I step in sun or otherwise and also it has a very light weight formula which blends really nicely! may be garnier has more moisturizing properties while this doesn't as compared to that!

  25. It's a great BB stick but gives a bad white cast with flash photography so do tread with caution if you photograph a lot!
