Born Pretty Store Gel eyeliner in Black and brown Review

Bornprettystore Gel eyeliner in Black and brown review, swatches and EOTD

Hey everyone,
Recently I posted a review on the blush brush which I got from Born pretty store I got these two gel liners too along with the brush and today I will review these highly pigmented eyeliners and EOTDs.

Before, starting the review, I would like to address an issue regarding the bornprettystore’s shipping details. As per my information, they do provide free shipping and there is not any minimum order condition as well. But I will confirm and double check it with the store representatives once again.
Price: These two gel eyeliners are for $ 5.40 (for both of them). You can buy them HERE
I was using Maybelline gel eyeliner earlier and those was in black and silver swirl so now that I have used up the entire black part there is only silver and little mixture with black is left, which is of no use and leaves me in a position to buy a new gel liner.
So I choose to try these two cute looking gel eyeliners in black and brown from their store. They are from a brand called Karite Paris… reminds me of the local home brands.
By the way this is the haul picture:

My Experience: That box had two eyeliner pots in black and brown. The entire packaging is of plastic. The pots are really tiny and cute looking with a cap going upwards in the form of a slender handle and when you twist the handle, there comes up a tiny little eyeliner applicator brush, you can compare this brush with the Maybelline one.

It’s about two inches tall and helps in getting that precise line while using it however, I have used this only once as I like using my Maybelline one more which has a longer handle to hold, making the hand movement steady enough while drawing the eyeliner.

Pigmentation is great I will say and the black one is just awesome in terms of the jet black rich pigmented color. The brown one is a medium toned brown, it is suitable for those who would not like to go for a heavy bold looking black eyeliner. For then a subtle warm brown shade like this will be more appropriate. You can see the swatches to judge it yourself better.:D

Texture is okay and very much gel like but it does takes some time to settle else it will smudge. I would say this is the only cons that I can think of which is worth mentioning for both the shades.
They glide on the lids perfectly without much tugging or pulling however, as these are gels you have to be careful while using and not to let them remain open for a long time else they get dry.
I scoop out a tiny bit on the back of my hand and close the pot. Then, I use that taken out amount to draw my lines.
It is waterproof and smudge proof when it sets properly. You will definitely need an eye makeup remover to get rid of it. You can see the swatches of both of them below.

I am liking them a lot, but when I am in a hurry then would prefer my faces eye pencil that becomes smudge proof in seconds.
They are really great for the price and so far I have not faced any problems with them. Will update if I have any thing more to share.
Here are the EOTs of both black and brown respectively.

Time for quick pros and cons:
Pros:
  • Affordable for the price.
  • Two shades are given in a pack
  • Both the shades are much pigmented.
  • They are waterproof and smudge proof once set.
  • Glides properly on the eyelids without tugging or pulling them much.
  • Comes with small brush eyeliner applicators
  • Packaging is nice and travel friendly.
Cons:
  • It’s a gel so have to take care that it does not dry.
  • Takes time to set to make it completely smudge proof.
  • smudges a little sometimes.:(
Rating: 3.75 out of 5
My take:Great eyeliners at great price has minor cons that can be neglected which makes them worth the money. if you wish to shop from their then, you can also use this code NWL91 to get an additional 10% discount.

PS: Sample product sent for consideration and review is unbiased as always.

    2. he he :D I do! I still liked the brown one. If they make it too dark, there won't be much difference left from black.

    1. Indeed Nisha. I will have to check a darker brown in their collection.
Regarding the payment, they have free shipping but i heard some one saying that when you order and about to checkout it shows $1.50 or something as shipping so that i would have to confirm..
Let me put something in the cart and checkout. :)
