I
will review a pen eyeliner today that Bornprettystore has sent me some days
ago. This pen liner is available at their online store for $4.54.
It
comes in a plastic neat packaging like you see in the picture below.
You
may have realized if you follow regularly that every weekend I share some eye
makeup posts but this time I don’t have any. I mean I have 3-4 eye makeup
pictures but they aren’t with tutorials (lazy me sometimes!) I will post all of
them in a single post.
After
I lost my Lakme eye artist pen eyeliner (it’s been included in Absolute collection
I suppose), I have been thinking of buying a pen liner but every time, I will
shop online or visit the counter, I will pick up everything that I need and the
things that I don’t need even, then When I saw it over there, I thought, I have
to get this. Reason I wanted a pen version of liners is, as they are easy to
create wing and very precise fine lines. They are the easiest and best thing
when it comes to draw sharp and crisp lines or wings. Love them!!
This
eyeliner comes in a sleek pen form with a cap that is so tight that you got to
apply a lot of force for the first couple of times, until it loosens a bit. I
think this is due to keep them in the best condition for a longer period of
time. As you may know the pens and gels forms of liners ca dry out easily. So,
if you have any of these, remember to close the lids/ caps tightly after every
use.
It
has a super sharp pointed tip that makes it easier to draw lines and there is
no tugging or pulling at all. Even with the lightest pressure you can draw
pigmented lines.
Pigmentation
is ahmazing.. it’s very pigmented and if have noticed, it has a glossy finish
and when it dries out the finish becomes a little matte but still can be
categorized as glossy. I just love it for that!!
Here
is the eye swatch.. yup it is eye swatch..on my hand though!.:D
As
you told you guys earlier that I have been thinking of getting a pen liner for
quite a long time s when I got it I couldn’t control and get carried away which
resulted in this swatch. :D
Staying
power is extremely good though it’s not at all waterproof, a single drop of
water and it’s going to but it will not make you raccoon for sure as it gets
wiped off in small peels or granules. Check out below, I tried really hard to
remove it and it just won’t go away. Staying power wise, it is better than the
lakme eye Artist!
Now,
here are the actual eye swatches. Nothing, over the top just simple eyeliner
with double wing and two dots after the upper wing and a line across the inner
corner.
And
the bottom pictures, I don’t know what was that!! :D just did it! :D I haven’t
used flash at all for any of the images.
Okay,
so those were the good points of this liner and some of the points were common
with any pen type liner. Now, let me share things that bother me and that
should be shared.
Packaging
is beautiful hot pink color but I realized that the paint was coming off.:/ but
the actual product is good!!
As
it’s a pen form, make sure that it is closed tightly and keep it inverted in
the brush holder so that the tip is always in the position that it remains
drenched in the liquid formula inside.
While
you apply pen then try to do that as quickly as possible, else the liquid
drains down and it doesn’t draw. If it happens then you would have to keep it
upside down to get the liquid back! Phew.:D
I love
that store, it’s like a heaven for nail art lovers! You should check out the
wide range of nil art stuff that they sell.
Final
take: It’s a decent pen eye liner that stays well, till the time it didn’t get
in touch with water. Pigmentation is fantastic and easy to draw thin precise
lines. Good for those who find applying liner tricky. Beautiful packaging and
comes at an affordable price.

ReplyDeleteIt's cute na.. thank you Meghu.<3
DeleteI don't like pen liners, because most of them are not pigmented enough for me. I prefer liquid liners.

DeleteLove the EOTD... beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThank you pearl.<3
DeleteNot bad at all. I always like pigmented products :)
ReplyDeleteEven I was surprised by its pigmentation. its great .:)
DeleteBeautiful swatch on the hand, so neatly done! I don't prefer pen liners as I have heard from most people even the best ones dry out. And regarding storing it upside down, these are like whiteboard markers and I think these should be stored horizontally. It's the upside down position that makes them dry up fast.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gagan, Got carried away.:)
DeleteThey are undoubtedly, inspired from whiteboard markers.
Is it?? I think the upside down position will make them last longer. Thank you for sharing that, I will observe it for few days and them make an update here too.:)
Ya that would be great. I don't have one to solidify that fact but if you can experiment, that will give more insight into proper storage position. I would love to know the truth. And your drawing skills are just amazing :)Bless your creativity!
DeleteHey Niesha, it looks good.Pigmentation is really great. You know what I was thinking of getting the Maybelline eyeliner pen, but I didn't like the pigmentation. I loved the Bourjois one but it is a little expensive.
ReplyDeleteIt is very pigmented Nisha. You know eve I was thinking oftryng the maybelline one but then I swatched it at the counter and wasn't satisfied at all. So, end up choosing this one.
DeleteI saw Bourjois too! will try it next.:)
WOwwwww EOTD's niesha :) loved it to the core!!! such creative swatches.. :)
ReplyDeletePackaging is so girly looks like a sketch pen :D super pigmentation... on my list for sure!!! :)
Thank you so much Vipra.<3 It has a cute girly packaging but the paint was coming off a bit near the cap. They are definitely like sketch pens.
DeleteHope it doesn't disappoint it.:)
Pigmentation is amazing, loved your eye swatches Niesha :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Neha.:) It is crazily pigmented .:)
DeleteOMG Niesh Stunning EOTDs I loved your drawing very much :)
