I can never have enough of lip products! This time I am going to review this Lotus Herbals Lip gloss from their Purestay range in Rose bud. I have never been a fan of lip glosses due to their low staying power and sticky sheer texture but this isn’t the case with this one.
So, keep on reading to know more about this product.  

Price: 395 INR for 8 g and this gloss has a shelf life of 36 months!

Ingredients: only active ingredients are mentioned as Evening Primrose Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E.

About the product and claims:  Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip gloss, is a lightweight, high-shine, perfectly pigmented preservative free lip gloss with rich, long lasting colour and nourishing shine that creates the appearance of fuller lips.

Experience: This Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip gloss comes in a rectangular bottle with a mirror finished cap with which the sponge tip applicator is attached. Name of the shade is mentioned at the bottom. I like its packaging a lot and it looks quite nice!!

This color that I have is called Rose bud, which I would describe as a brick red color with orange undertones visible in flash. I noticed that even though it appears more like a matte color, but it also has very fine shimmer particles that may not be visible at all but they definitely play a role in providing glossier finish to this gloss. In flash, it looks more orange.

I am more of a lipstick person but this gloss would be the first one that I have liked so far. Reason being, the consistency is very thick unlike the regular gloss. In the swatch picture you may see that I have swiped it once only. Due to the thicker consistency, it also enhances the pigmentation. Isn't it? 
It just glides smoothly and is also capable enough to cover the lip pigmentation while delivering a rich intense color in a single swipe.

This lip gloss is more like a lip cream or a liquid lipstick, I would say, with moderately sticky texture which can be used on its own or over a lipstick.

Now, staying power isn’t much which is fine as it’s not a lipstick.

This shade is a very warm and beautiful color that will look flattering on almost all the skin tones. In fact, such colors look more beautiful on duskier skin tones, I suppose. :D

I have used it twice and loved the color though had to do frequent touch ups due to the low staying power. 

Below you may see the lip swatches with and without flash. I don’t use flash much as they can make the color look entirely different I try to take photos without flash as they would appear in person! I have not used any lipstick just this gloss.

They haven’t mentioned the complete list of ingredients as I checked at the site but could not find. I think the price is okay, could have been less but considering the pigmentation due to which they can also be used on their own, I think price is reasonable, rest it depends on us how much would we like to invest in a gloss with that pigmentation.
 

Pros of  Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip gloss Rose Bud:

• Lotus Herbals Purestay range is easily available at online, Lotus counters and drugstores,
• For the price the quantity is decent.
• Packaging looks very good.
• Price is reasonable and okay.
• It has very mild smell that should not be any problem even with those who don't like much smells in their lip colors.
• Pigmentation is great due to which it appears more like a lip cream or liquid lip color which you may use on its own as well.
• Due to pigmented formula, it is good enough to hide the lip pigmentation, if you have.
• As lip glosses have high moisture content so they do provide moisture and glossy finish to the lips, same with this.
• Staying power is decent from the lip gloss point of view.
• This color Rose bud is an excellent color for all skin tones that may be used during the day as well without looking over the top.

Cons of  Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip gloss Rose Bud:

• Full list of ingredients is missing. Only the active ones are mentioned.
• It is not as sticky as most of the other lip gloss but it is!!
• If used own its own then frequent touch ups would be needed.

My Take: Do consider this Lotus Herbals Purestay Lip gloss, if you are thinking of a pigmented lip gloss at a reasonable price and a beautiful color that looks great on almost everyone!
