If you remember, few weeks ago, I had posted Buy in coins haul. I have already reviewed the pro120 color eye shadow palette and now, I will review this 20 Pc makeup brush set. I wanted to use them for a sufficient time before actually reviewing them so, that I can come to know about their good and not so good points

Now, that I have used them, washed them and checked them, I am all set to share my experience with you all.

Price: $ 11.10 INR (590 INR)

Experience: This is a 20 pc brush set; they don’t come from a brand that I can name as I have not seen a single letter written on the case or brushes anywhere.

They come in this PU case with two magnetic snaps that secures the case after you have folded it and also makes them convenient unlike the straps that you have tie.

Inside, there is a fold of the same material which further protects the brushes against dust and also from falling out, in case you have inverted it. In short this is the ideal shape of the makeup brush cases or pouches. When you hold it looks as if you are carrying a clutch. So, I would say it scores good on the packaging!!

After I opened the case, I felt a strange plastic like smell, which I hated but then once I left it open for a couple of hours, it was gone. And now, there is no such smell. Thank fully, else It would have given me headache, while using them.:D

Inside the case, there are slots where in you can keep the brushes. All the brushes come wrapped inside individual transparent plastic sheets. The bigger 5 brushes have guards also however, the smaller ones don’t have any, but that shouldn’t be any problem!

To describe and let you know about the quality of these brushes better, I have divided the brushes in 4 parts depending on their sizes and usage.

Above are the first 5 brushes. As you can see there is a mascara wand, a lash and brow comb, a sponge tip applicator, eye smudger sponge tip and eyeliner brush. Out of these three are the very common brushes that we may see in any basic brush set. The eyeliner brush is a tad small, I mean the bristles are small for an eyeliner, but can still be used. My favorite is the sponge smudger which is very sturdy, pointed and is very helpful while smudging eyeliner. There is no problem with these brushes. They all are fine!! Yaaay!!

Now, these brushes fall onto similar category I suppose, there are two angles brushes, three flat top brushes of different length and width which can be used as per the requirement. The middle one can also be used as to apply lipstick, but I have used them for eye makeup so far. I am not sure whether this is the actual terminology but for me it is that.:D I have noticed that they all shed but not much that can pose a threat of them getting bald soon except for the one that is the small flat top brush which sheds way too badly. Yes that right, it sheds badly. :/ May be the glue wasn’t sufficiently added while making or may be due to other possible reasons.

To avoid that what I did, I pressed the bottom metal base out of which the brushes protrude, (you may not see that as I did that after clicking the pictures), after pressing the base hard I noticed that the shedding was stopped considerably and it’s all good now. Occasional shedding will still be there and that’s not even fair to expect them to perform extra ordinarily at the price. :D

These are the eye shadow applicator brushes, and as you can see they look similar except for the sizes. Just like the others they shed normally (single strand occasionally ) and two of them shed badly for which again I had to press them at the bottom and now, they have also turned into the category of well behaved brushes. Although, they are cheap but I am writing all these as to let you know where these brushes lack in quality so that you may judge better to make up your mind to buy them or skip them.

Here comes the last set of 5 bigger brushes. In this, there is a large sponge tip applicator, I have no idea where to use it but I like how soft and big it is, a large fan brush, angled brush, blush brush and a powder brush. As I mentioned that some of the smaller brushes were shedding but surprisingly they do not shed. Honesty, have seen just a single strand falling out after using them and washing them. These 5 brushes are  value for money.

Unlike the smaller brushes, they appear to be rough but in reality they aren’t that rough. Some of the strands were projecting above from the level which I trimmed.

I also realized that the base metal is very strong regardless of the price.

Now, moving onto pros and cons:

Pros of Makeup Brush 20 Pc set:

• Very cheap and affordable at the price
• Value for money and nothing much to regret
• Case made up of PU that can last longer and easily washable.
• Case and overall brushes, looks decent not cheap
• All the basic brushes for face makeup like angled for contouring, powder, blush and fan brush are given.
• Most of the eye makeup brushes like liner, mascara, eyeshadow, angles, smudger etc  have been provided
• Bristles are soft and picks up the product well.
• Brush handles are sturdy and strong though made up of plastic

Cons of Makeup Brush 20 Pc set:

• The set lacks a foundation buffer brush, fluffy brush and a lip liner brush. (This is what I think of..)
• Smells of plastic, when you open it first time, for which you have to give it some time and let it open and keep it like that for few hours. Smell will vanish!
• Some of the brushes shed badly :/ but some of them don’t shed at all surprisingly.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (for the overall product and the price being paid!)

Mt take:  I will agree that few of the bristles shed badly and then others don’t at all. but as an entire bunch if I see at that price, this brush set, is a very good deal, Good for beginners. 

I am not sure whether all the lots have the same quality or there are quality inconsistencies but still I cannot deny the fact that they are very cheap and value for money. 
Rest depends on the your requirements and preferences.

I am looking forward to invest in Bh or sigma brushes, as I wanted to try some cheap brushes before splurging on the other brands.
